Hội An is located in Central Vietnam. Boarding the Gulf of Thailand, Gulf of Tonkin, and Pacific Ocean.
We took a sleeper bus from Đồng Hới to Hue. Getting in at midnight, we stayed at Jade Hotel. They accommodated our late arrive and had a delicious breakfast.
We had not plan our transportation from Đồng Hới to Hội An. Luckily, we meet a couple on our trek in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng who recommended booking Lee’s family rider.
I could not RECOMMEND this enough!! Book with Lee’s Family Rider! They are actually the top rated Trip Advisor company in the WORLD!
A 127 km motor scooter rider from Hue to Hội An.
Stopping for a swim at Elephant Spring,
the freshest lunch at a fishing village,
cruise along the famous Hải Vân Pass & climb to the top Marble Mountain.
It was the perfect way to spend a traveling day.
We stopped in a fishing town to learn some of the history about the area.
We learned the fishing town really depended on the scrap metals that were left behind by the US Army in the Vietnam War. Once the war ended, our troops up and left literally everything. I saw people driving U.S Army jeeps. I even slept in U.S army sleeping bag during my trek in Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park. All the boats you see below were made from U.S material.

Next stop was the Elephant Springs! Peep the rock that looks like an Elephant!

We braved the cold and went for a swim!

We stopped for lunch at a seafood restaurant, right on the water. This was by far the best seafood i have EVER had in my life. Freshest of the fresh right here. Possibly the best food of the whole trip. ( torn between this restaurant and the fresh seafood from the Ha Long Bay Cruise. )

On our way through Hải Vân Pass also known as “Ocean Cloud Pass.”

Gangs all here!
Having lived in California now for two years now, I definitely see a resemblance to Vietnam terrain and California’s.

Made it to Marble Mountain!

and just like that, we finally made it to Hội An!
Ending the day at a family friend seamstress to get custom made clothes! I ended up buying a dress and custom made suit for $100! Jordan got a suite and a couple shirts for $200! Pretty good deal!

We only had one night in Hội An.
RECOMMEND: Staying at Long Life Riverside Hotel . Gorgeous Ascetics and close to everything!

Hội An is lively, colorful and busy.

Back to Thailand! Heading to Ko Pha Ngan for the famous Full Moon Party!
