Ko Pha-Ngan : Full Moon Party

This Full Moon Party is a once a month party on the island of Ko Pha-Ngan, in Haad Rin, where you rage on a beach with thousands of people who are covered in neon paint, carrying buckets of alcohol, and dancing the night away!

TRAIL AND TRIBULATION: You will have to catch a ferry to Ko Pha-Ngan from Ko Saumi. Ferry stops running at 6p.m. The Our flight got in at 6:30p.m. We ended up getting a group of people that also missed the last ferry and no joke we all paid strangers with a speed boat to take us to the island. In what takes 2 hours on the ferry, took us 45 minutes to Haad Rin Pier. A little scary looking back at it, (smacking some pretty huge waves) but we made it!

We stayed at Amaresa Resort & Sky Bar.

I want to say there are better places to stay. Service was ok, there was no hot water, and customer service was alright. But waking up to our view was pretty breathtaking!

We found an awesome Reggie bar called the Reggae House to relax after our speed boat ride. (after some research the bar is permanently closed! bummer!) We ended up making friends with a couple at the bar. The four of us became friends with the bartender, who tells us he has a boat. Next thing we know, we are planning to meet the next morning to go curse around the island! We actually got to see more of a residential Ko Pha-Ngan island life meeting some of his friends along the way.

The Day of the Full Moon!

Get yourself a neon outfit. Go to one of the many artists on the street and get painted up in neon and grab yourself a bucket of alcohol. (Literally, they give you your alcohol in a kids size sand bucket. ) Your Ready!

Peep the end of me eating the best corn on a stick in my life, while finally leaving the party on the back of a moped at 4:00 a.m. It was a good night!

One of the Biggest and Closest full moons i have seen to this day.

If you have the chance to join in on the monthly parties, DO IT! The atmosphere is rocking. You can never go wrong with a party on the beach!

We had another day to explore the island. Finally got to see some cute monkeys!

We spent a total of 3 full days here, partying it up with new and old friends under a Full Moon!

Next stop getting Scuba certified in the Phi Phi Islands!
